Ryan Calilung

Ryan Calilung has extensive work experience in various roles within the product development and engineering field. Ryan currently holds the position of Head of Product Development at Cervélo Cycles starting from December 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Oakley, where they held multiple positions including Lead Research and Development Engineer, Director of Research and Development, Design Engineering Manager, and Senior Design Engineer. At Oakley, they were responsible for providing technical leadership, managing blue sky initiatives, developing technology roadmaps, and overseeing the design engineering team for consumer eyewear. Before Oakley, Ryan worked at Kolcraft Enterprises, Inc. as a Lead Design Engineer, where they led cross-functional teams in developing electro-mechanical toys, stroller systems, and soft goods lines. Ryan also gained experience at Johnson Outdoors, where they were involved in developing new propulsion systems, and at SRAM, LLC, where they worked on advanced concepts and product development teams for bicycle drivetrain components. Ryan's early work experience includes a role as a Project Engineer at Johnson Controls, where they focused on automotive seating systems.

Ryan Calilung completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Plastic Product Design from Kettering University. Ryan attended the university from 1990 to 1996.
