Judy Balsman

Judy Balsman, SPHR has extensive work experience in human resources, organizational development, and consulting. Judy is currently the Managing Director and Head of HR Business Partnering & Employee Relations at Cetera Financial Group. Prior to this, they served as the VP and Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Global Atlantic Financial Group from 2014 to 2021. Judy also worked as an independent HR consultant, specializing in recruiting and process improvement, in 2014. Before that, Judy was an HR Implementation and Change Consultant at Aviva USA from 2010 to 2013, where they focused on organizational change and talent management. Judy started their career at Wells Fargo, where they held the position of AVP Human Resources Business Partner from 1999 to 2010, handling various aspects of HR and talent planning. Prior to that, they were a Human Resources Manager at Ingersoll Rand, overseeing HR activities for two manufacturing locations. Judy also served as a Production Supervisor during their time at Ingersoll Rand.

Judy Balsman, SPHR received their Master of Arts degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Judy also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the same university. In 2006, they obtained the SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute.
