Avi Hagai

Director Of Software Development at CEVA

Avi Hagai has extensive experience in software development and management roles. Avi began their career at Israel Defense Forces, where they served as the Department Manager in the Intelligence Corps. Following this, they joined Freescale Semiconductor as an R&D design designer and later became an R&D team leader.

In 2000, Avi joined Wintegra, initially as an R&D Design Manager and later took on the role of Engineering Director. Avi was responsible for leading the development and testing of networking processors and overseeing the software and firmware teams. As the Engineering Vice President, they managed the communication and networking product line development and engaged with tier-1 customers.

Avi then joined PMC-Sierra, which is now Microsemi, as Director of Software and eventually became the Sr. Director of Software. In these positions, they successfully led large software development teams in various locations and managed the software and firmware development of multiple networking product lines within the Communication Business Unit.

Their most recent position is at CEVA, Inc., where they work as the Director of Software Development. Avi leads the development of the software development Tools department for CEVA's digital signal processors (DSPs) and oversees multiple software teams working on various DSP processors for Imaging and Vision, Audio and Voice, Wireless communication, and IoT.

Throughout their career, Avi has demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills in software development, firmware development, and managing large cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Avi Hagai received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University from 1990 to 1994. Avi then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University from 1997 to 2000.
