Matthew Hickerson's work experience begins in 1986 as a District Representative for Rep. Robert J. Mrazek in the United States House of Representatives. Matthew then worked as a Public Information Officer for the Town of Huntington, NY from 1991 to 1994. From 1994 to 1995, they served as a Legislative Aide for the New York State Assembly. Hickerson then moved into the corporate sector, starting at Credit Suisse in 1995 as Head of Marketing & Advertising. At Credit Suisse, they led a global team responsible for brand positioning, marketing, and advertising communications. In 2007, they joined UBS as the Global Head of Marketing Communications, overseeing a global team and providing strategic advice. Matthew then worked as a Consultant in Marketing and Communications from 2010 to 2011, where they advised clients on various aspects of communications and branding. From 2011 to 2017, Hickerson served as the Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing, Americas at Macquarie Group, leading brand strategy and marketing efforts. Currently, they are the Head of Strategic Communications at the CFA Institute, where they manage a global team and is responsible for various aspects of communications and marketing for the organization.
Matthew Hickerson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in History, from Boston University.
