Roger Herdy, CEM, currently serves as Program Manager for Advanced Capabilities at CFD Research Corporation, where leadership focuses on developing new technologies and overseeing advanced science projects, specifically as a Subject Matter Expert for the US Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command Hot Air Tunnel project. Previous roles include LVSA Deputy Delivery Order Manager at Teledyne Brown Engineering, where responsibilities involved the design and delivery of the NASA SLA Launch Vehicle Stage Adapter and pioneering aerospace test technology for hypersonics. Prior to that, Roger served as Senior Systems Engineer and Vice President of Operations at Government Energy Solutions, Inc., and held the position of Chief Systems Engineer at CFD Research Corporation. Roger began a career in aerospace technology at the Air Force’s Arnold Engineering Development Center and has extensive experience in managing RDT&E programs. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
