Mira B. has extensive experience in both academia and industry. Current volunteer work at the Chabot Space & Science Center since May 2014 focuses on visitor engagement at the observatory deck. Between March 2015 and December 2018, Mira served as a visiting professor at DeVry University, teaching math through a blended learning approach. Previous roles include consulting for MesaWave, LLC from 2009 to 2012, where market research and product positioning were key responsibilities, and serving as a senior applications development manager at KLA-Tencor from 2007 to 2009, providing support for ion implant and anneal metrology products. Additional experience includes significant positions at Therma-Wave, Boxer Cross, and Applied Materials, where technical expertise in research, program management, and process engineering were developed. Mira holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
