Eric Napier

Eric Napier is a Production Scientist at Chai. Eric has over five years of experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on data management and gene synthesis.

Napier started their career as a Manufacturing Supervisor at Twist Bioscience, where they were responsible for leading a shift of 4-6 technicians in daily gene synthesis operations. Eric also oversaw the training of new technicians on gene synthesis and QC workflows. In October 2017, Napier transitioned to Zymergen, where they spent four years as a Data Management Engineer 1. In this role, they managed the delivery of MES process models and tools with multi-disciplinary teams.

Napier has a deep understanding of the complexities involved in data management and gene synthesis, which makes him an asset to Chai. In their current role, they are responsible for helping Chai develop new products and processes.

Eric Napier completed their undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, earning a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.

Their manager is Jessie Ho, Co-Founder & COO. Eric Napier works with Jesus Prado - Business Operations Manager, Le Cai - R&D Scientist, and John DiVittorio - Technical Application Scientist.
