Soumya Basu

Soumya is Vice President, Global Lead of Integrated Demand & Supply Planning at Chainalytics. He focuses on applying large-scale optimization and simulation models for demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, and strategic network design. His work supports such planning issues as mergers & acquisitions, facility site selection, capacity planning, network rationalization, capital expense justification, and inventory deployment policy.

Soumya’s experience includes supply chain transformation engagements that have spanned many industries including high tech, consumer durables, oil & gas, and automotive across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. He has served as a director of customer and partner services at Cisco, APJC. His prior work includes strategic network design and inventory optimization initiatives as part of the strategic advisory group of i2 Technologies, now part of Blue Yonder.

He holds a Masters in Business Administration in Strategy and Operations from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in Ahmedabad, India, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Maharashtra, India.
