Supply Chain Security Engineer at Chainguard

James Petersen has extensive experience in the tech industry. James began their career in 2015 as an Undergraduate Researcher at Ohio University, working in the Avionics Department and as Co-Lead Researcher on the PiCats Autonomous Vehicles project. In 2016, they interned at Virginia Tech, working on the Heavy Vehicle V2V Communications project. In 2017, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Ohio University and as a Cyber Security Intern at PreTalen. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a DevOps and Embedded Development Lead, Embedded Developer, and Developer and Reverse Engineer. Currently, they are employed at Anchore as a Tech Lead, Sr. DevSecOps Engineer and Senior DevSecOps Engineer, and they are set to begin a new role as Supply Chain Security Engineer at Chainguard in 2022.

James Petersen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Ohio University between 2012 and 2018. In December 2018, they also earned a certification in Data Science Fundamentals from General Assembly.
