Thalia Papadopoulou has extensive experience in finance and financial management. Thalia currently holds the position of Vice President Finance at Chalhoub Group since October 2023. Prior to this, they were Head of Finance at the same company starting from January 2017.
Before joining Chalhoub Group, Thalia worked as the CFO for Tanweer Group from March 2015 to December 2016. Prior to that, they held various positions at Gap Inc./Gap, starting as the CFO for GAP Greece Cyprus & Southeastern Europe / CFO Marinopoulos Holdings in September 2011 and ending in February 2015. Thalia also served as the CFO for Starbucks Greece, Cyprus & Balkans (Bulgaria and Romania) from September 2011 to February 2015. In this role, they supported the country CEO in financial planning and budgeting, contributed to strategic studies, and managed cash forecasts and financing.
Thalia began their career at Carrefour, where they held multiple roles including Regional Financial Controlling Director, Reporting Budgeting & Consolidation Manager, Financial Controller, and Financial Analyst. At Carrefour, they oversaw accounting activities, financial reporting, budget formulation, and analysis.

Thalia Papadopoulou's education history includes a foundation degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from ESCP Business School from 2003 to 2004. Thalia also obtained a BSc in Business & Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business from 1990 to 1994. Additionally, they completed a degree in Teaching French as a Second or Foreign Language, Sorbonne 3, from Institut Francais d'Athenes from 1985 to 1991. Thalia Papadopoulou has pursued additional qualifications, including becoming a Chartered Accountant (Signatory Right A) from the Economic Chamber of Greece and achieving a qualification in Accounting and Finance from ACCA.
