Key Responsibilities:

The Sr. Director of Network Strategy (Head of Network Strategy) role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating a network of high performing cardiologists. You should be an experienced leader, comfortable working with cross-functional teams and able to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop and execute Chamber’s network strategy. Chamber is seeking someone who can bring their expertise to bear in driving our network strategy forward. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in network development or provider contracting, preferably experience in building cardiology networks, and a track record of developing and executing network strategy. Deep knowledge of provider networks, managed care and value-based care are essential. You should also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be comfortable driving projects from inception to completion.

  • Develop and execute Chamber’s network strategy through market research, contract negotiations, relationship development and management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful implementation of network strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with other individuals to remove barriers impeding converting practice targets, contract implementation, identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Research and review provider networks to identify new opportunities and potential improvements, develop a comprehensive provider network to meet market and payer needs.
  • Develop reports and presentations on network strategy and healthcare trends for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversees the management of provider data through the CRM system.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current provider network, driving network success. Monitor and evaluate network performance and make improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales team and leadership team in presentations.
  • Reports to the President/CMO.
  • Travel as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 8+ years experience in network development or provider contracting.
  • 3+ years experience with value-based or risk-based provider contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship skills.  Ability to speak clearly, conveying complex information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex content from others.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and positively influence providers resulting in attainment of network growth goals.
  • Familiarity with alternate payment models including fee for service, capitation, global budget, pay for performance, episodes of care, cost/quality targets, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to systematically analyze problems and draw conclusions and devise appropriate course of action.
  • Strong computer and presentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or diploma/GED with equivalent experience
  • Experience building cardiologist networks
