Ruth Demeter Hayes

Ruth Demeter Hayes currently serves as the Senior Director of Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Global Energy Institute, a position held since July 2021. Prior to this role, Ruth was the Director of Federal Government Relations at Peabody Energy from February 2015 to July 2021, where advocacy efforts focused on energy development, climate, and related policy areas. Ruth's experience also includes serving as Senior Manager of Federal Government Relations in the United States Senate from October 2009 to February 2015 and providing legislative support as an aide to Senators John Ensign and Barrasso in various roles.
