Fernando Martin-Maroto is a research scientist at the Champalimaud Foundation, specializing in Algebraic Machine Learning at the Collective Behavior Lab since November 2018. As the founder of Algebraic AI Inc. since January 2017, Martin-Maroto has focused on developing a parameter-free machine learning technique based on algebraic data representations. Previous experience includes roles as a founding member and co-administrator of IPCORE Datacenters SL, a senior software engineer at RTI, and director of research and development at CorticalDB inc. Notably, Martin-Maroto worked as a bioinformatician at Thermo Fisher Scientific and the Protein Chemistry Laboratory, contributing to groundbreaking sequencing software. Martin-Maroto’s educational background includes advanced studies in Molecular Biology, Proteomics, and Theoretical Physics at institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley, and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
