Shady Al-Zubi

Director of Engineering at Champion Controls

Dr. Shady Al-Zubi heads the engineering group. He has over fifteen (15) years of industrial experience. Prior to joining Champion Controls, Shady spent six (6) years as Lead Project Controls Engineer in charge of a wide range of automation projects for the NASA Langley Research Center. Those projects encompassed design and implementation of industrial equipment such as PLC, HMI supervised systems, VFD’s, servo driver, etc.

Prior to that, Dr. A-Zubi held a number of engineering positions in the automation field throughout the USA ranging from Launch Engineer for auto maker Daimler Chrysler to Controls Engineer for several noteworthy system integration companies. Over his career, he has gained experience in electrical hardware and software systems and subsystems, vision, pneumatics, hydraulics, kinematics, robotic systems (Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Force sensors and more). Shady is proficient in the use of computer applications including RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, AB 6200, AI 2, RsLinx, Panel builder, Panelview, and RsView. His experience includes implementing technologies such as PLC2, 3, 5, SLC, MicroLogix, ControlLogix, Ethernet IP, CONTROLNET, DEVICENET, OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, HMI, and Data Acquisition.
