David Hathaway

David Hathaway has over 28 years of work experience. David currently serves as the General Counsel at Champion Real Estate Company since 2022. Prior to this, they were the General Counsel at Rodeo Lending from 2019 to 2022 and at Rodeo Capital, Inc. from 2017 to 2022. David also worked as the Chief Legal Officer at Hightide Settlement Services, LLC from 2016 to 2017.

Before joining Hightide, David held various positions at Bank of America from 2003 to 2015, including Assistant General Counsel and Senior Vice President. In this role, they provided legal counsel and strategic guidance on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters related to mortgage settlement services and other business operations.

David's earlier experience includes working as a Corporate, Real Estate & Entertainment Transactional Associate at Gorry Meyer & Rudd LLP from 1999 to 2003, and as a Real Estate Transactional Associate and Litigation Associate at Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory LLP from 1993 to 1999.

David Hathaway has a J.D. degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. David also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric, with Honors and Distinction in General Scholarship, from the University of California, Berkeley. Furthermore, David studied Economics and Accounting during a semester abroad at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). David completed their high school education at San Marino High School.
