Jonathon Baron

Jonathon Baron is a Senior Quantitative Research Scientist at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, a position held since August 2022. Prior to this role, Jonathon served as a Research Scientist in Demography & Survey Science at Meta from June 2020 to August 2022, and as a US-Asia Grand Strategy Predoctoral Fellow at the University of Southern California Korean Studies Institute from August 2019 to June 2020. Jonathon completed a PhD in Political Science and Government at Yale University, where studies were conducted from July 2013 to June 2020. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago. Earlier professional experiences include project assistance at Kirkland & Ellis, student engagement at the University of Chicago, and internships with Illinois Senator Richard J. Durbin.
