Andy B. has a diverse work experience in the broadcasting industry. Andy started their career at ntl as a Radio Technician in 1994 and then moved on to become a Broadcast Operations Manager in 2000. In 2004, they took on the role of Head Of Service Ops, where they were responsible for managing DTV Broadcast, Interactive, ETV, and VOD platforms. Andy joined Channel 4 in 2006 as a Technical Project Manager and has been delivering projects for them since the launch of 4oD. In 2015, they became the Non-Broadcast Engineering Manager and then transitioned to the role of Chief Engineer in 2017. In 2019, they briefly worked as a Director at Digital 3&4. Throughout their career, Andy has been involved in designing and building broadcast and non-linear solutions and supporting business development strategies.

Andy B. has a strong education background in electronics engineering. Andy attended HCAT College of Technology from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering with a focus on Electronics Engineering. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1996, they studied at Horsted College and earned a HND/HNC in electronic engineering specializing in Electronics and Computer Science. In 1989, Andy completed an Avionics/Electronic Engineering Apprenticeship at GEC Marconi Avionics, focusing on Electronics and Avionics. Additionally, they received City & Guilds Electronics Servicing certification, completing parts 1-3 at MidKent College. Andy has also pursued professional development, obtaining certifications in "Break Free from the Negative Chatter in Your Head" and "Personal Effectiveness Tips" through LinkedIn in 2022.
