Ed Chalmers has had an extensive career in the media industry, holding various roles in different companies. Ed started in 1994 as an Agency Sales Executive at CAPITAL RADIO LIMITED, where they worked for three years. Ed then joined Opus Media in 1997 as a Senior Agency Sales Executive before moving on to Classic FM in 1998 as an Agency Sales Group Head. In 2002, Chalmers returned to Opus Media as the Head Of Trading before transitioning to GCAP MEDIA LIMITED in 2005, where they held the positions of Head of Agency Sales and later Head of Trading and National Brands. Ed joined Global Radio in 2009 as a Sales Director and eventually became the Head of Trading at Channel 4 in 2012.

From 1988 to 1992, Ed Chalmers attended the University of Nottingham, where they did not complete a degree or focus on a specific field of study.
