Edward Yu

Edward Yu brings over 20 years of pharma, biotech, and medical device industry experience primarily in the areas of global regulatory, clinical, and medical affairs with the last seven years spent in women’s health. Prior to joining Channel, Mr. Yu served as Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical and Medical Affairs at Conceptus, Inc. and as Vice President of Global Clinical Development, Group Head of Women’s Healthcare following Conceptus’ acquisition by Bayer Healthcare in June 2013. While at Conceptus/Bayer, Mr. Yu led the successful completion of several large, multinational studies of a permanent contraceptive device, which was designed for insertion in the physician’s office. Before joining Channel Medsystems, Mr. Yu held leadership positions at several other healthcare companies including Guidant, Durect, Lumenis, Lifescan, Syntex, and Genentech. Mr. Yu holds a BS from the University of California at Davis and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
