Megan Charles has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Megan began their career in 2011 as a Trainee Art Therapist at East London NHS Foundation Trust and subsequently worked as a Trainee Art Therapist at Off Centre in 2012. In 2013, they joined CNWL NHS Foundation Trust as a Researcher, where they conducted interviews and co-wrote a published paper on Arts Psychotherapies.

From 2014 to 2016, Megan held the role of Art Psychotherapist at One Housing Group, where they facilitated art therapy groups and conducted assessments for adults with complex long-term mental health issues. Megan then worked as a Carers Adviser at Alzheimer's Society from 2014 to 2015.

In 2015, Megan became the Chief Operating Officer at Chanua Ltd., overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations and supporting the CEO and senior management team.

Megan later became an Art Psychotherapist at Elm Park Lodge in 2015, where they continued to facilitate art therapy groups and conduct assessments for adults with mental health issues until 2017. Megan also worked as an Art Psychotherapist at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust from 2017 to 2018.

In addition to their clinical work, Megan served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire starting in 2016. Overall, Megan's experience highlights their expertise in art therapy, research, and organizational management.

Megan Charles has a diverse education history. Megan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Liverpool from 2003 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Art Therapy at the University of Hertfordshire, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Megan then attended the School for Social Entrepreneurs in 2015 to 2016, where they focused on Social Enterprise. More recently, they engaged in further studies at King's College London. Megan first obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Family and Systemic Therapy from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Megan is enrolled in the Master of Science program in Family and Systemic Therapy at King's College London, expected to be completed by 2023.
