Dr. Jakob Soroko

Dr. Jakob Soroko currently serves as Group General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Chaos since April 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Soroko was General Counsel and Head of Legal at powercloud from August 2021 to April 2023 and held multiple legal titles at QIAGEN between April 2012 and August 2021, including Senior Director Legal Affairs EMEA and Head of Data Protection & Privacy. Dr. Soroko's expertise encompasses comprehensive legal advice in life science molecular diagnostics, biotechnology, software law, and IT law, with a focus on bioinformatics and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions. Previous experience includes roles at Taylor Wessing, RWE Innogy, and junior legal positions at various organizations. Dr. Soroko holds advanced legal degrees from The University of Freiburg, Jagiellonian University, and Victoria University of Wellington.
