Melissa Pitz

Melissa Pitz is an experienced Intern Architect currently employed at Chapman Sisson Architects since August 2016, where involvement has included various religious, educational, and commercial projects in North Alabama across all project phases. Prior experience includes roles at Lawrence Abell & Associates Ltd. working on commercial and residential projects in Maryland and DC, and at DEL Studio Architects focusing on similar projects in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas, where a small firm environment led to increased responsibilities. Other notable positions include a Staff Architect role at WDG Architecture focusing on multi-family residential projects, and various internship roles at BWBR Architects and Wold Architects and Engineers, contributing to public and educational projects. Melissa's foundation in architecture began with a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University, coupled with diverse experiences, including design work for Tamarack Nature Center and practicing as an Undergraduate Research Assistant.
