Senior Research Associate, Biology at Character Bio

Tejasveeta Nadkarni has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. Tejasveeta is currently working as a Senior Research Associate in Biology at Character Biosciences since 2022. Prior to this, Tejasveeta worked at the University of California, San Francisco as an Assistant Specialist II/Lab Manager from July 2021 to August 2022 and as an Assistant Specialist I/Lab Manager from January 2019 to July 2021.

Before joining UCSF, they were a Senior Research Technician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from May 2018 to January 2019, where their primary focus was targeting tumor suppressor genes in castrate-resistant prostate cancer. Tejasveeta also gained experience in molecular biology techniques such as CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, cloning, PCR, and RNA interference.

Earlier in their career, Tejasveeta worked as a Research Technician I at Weill Cornell Medicine from June 2014 to August 2015. Here, they were involved in research projects related to breast cancer prevention using dietary compounds.

Tejasveeta Nadkarni pursued their education in the field of Biotechnology. From 2007 to 2011, they attended Sinhgad College of Engineering, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree. In 2012, they furthered their studies at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biotechnology from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, in 2012, they completed a Graduate Diploma program in Industrial Biotechnology at the MITCON Biopharma Centre in Pune, India.
