Murat Omur

Murat Omur has extensive experience in investment banking and healthcare, with a particular focus on genetic medicines, cell therapy, and precision oncology. Murat currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Monterey Innovation Acquisition Corp. Prior to this, they held roles as a Managing Director at Chardan and as an Executive Director at Nomura, where they specialized in healthcare investment banking, pharmaceutical coverage, and M&A. Murat also worked as a Director at Perella Weinberg Partners and as an Associate at Merrill Lynch. Murat began their career as an Analyst Intern at JPMorgan and later worked as a Consultant at The World Bank.

Murat Omur's education history starts with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boğaziçi University, which they obtained between 1995 and 2000. During this period, they studied subjects such as Sociology, International Relations, and Chemistry. Following their undergraduate studies, from 2000 to 2002, Murat attended the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where they earned a Master of Arts degree.
