Farah joined the Armstrong board in 2022 because she believes that Armstrong is unique in its education for children with learning differences. Her favorite thing about Armstrong is the compassion and unconditional acceptance of the students by the teachers and staff. Farah is a partner at Population Health Partners, a biotech focused investment firm. Previously, she was a Managing Director at Alta Partners, a leading venture capital firm for 17 years. At Alta, she raised over $1 billion in venture funds, served as a managing partner of the firm and as a board member of numerous public and private companies. Prior to Alta, she was global head of the life sciences investment banking group at Robertson Stephens, a preeminent emerging growth investment bank. Farah has a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College. She is currently a Trustee of Smith College, serves on the advisory board of Stanford University’s Life Sciences Council, Stanford’s Institute for Research in the Social Sciences and also as a board member of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals.
