Katie Storey

Katie Storey is the parent of Jack, a proud member of the Armstrong Class of 2021, after attending for eight wonderful years. Now serving her second Board term, Katie is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees. She serves on the Governance, Finance, Development and Buildings & Grounds committees. Katie is also a former chair of the Charles Armstrong Parent School Organization (CAPSO). Katie feels tremendous gratitude for what Armstrong gave to her family and believes Armstrong is at the hub of the dyslexia community in the greater Bay Area. She is deeply committed to a world where all dyslexic children are able to recognize their amazingness and share it with the world. Katie is proud to be a part of an institution that understands, appreciates and celebrates dyslexic students. Her favorite thing about Armstrong is the absolute joy you see and feel every time you step foot on campus. Katie’s professional background is in consumer marketing and public relations. She is currently the co-founder of Elevate Marketing, a marketing consulting firm for non-profits. She spent 10-years working in brand management at the Clorox Company. Prior to that, she was a publicist for U.S.News & World Report, Fast Company and The Atlantic Monthly and also worked at public relations firm The Shandwick Company in Boston, MA. Katie has held leadership roles with the Burlingame Community for Education Foundation, National Charity League, and served as president of Lincoln Elementary School’s Site Council. She was a Girl Scout troop leader and coached soccer and softball. She was also the past president of the Fallen Leaf Lodge Homeowners Association. Katie has a BA from Duke University and a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
