Bhavesh Patel

Bhavesh Patel, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of life sciences strategy consulting. Bhavesh started their career at AstraZeneca as a Summer Student, where they gained experience in medicinal chemistry and early-stage lead generation. Bhavesh then worked as a Summer Intern at Procter & Gamble, where they successfully managed an independent product development project.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Bhavesh joined GSK as an Industrial Placement Student, specializing in synthetic chemistry for respiratory and inflammation disorders. Bhavesh played a key role in the project team, presenting and discussing results at multiple meetings. Additionally, they supervised a work experience student during this time.

Bhavesh continued to develop their skills and knowledge by working at Cactus Communications as a Freelance Editor, providing high-quality editing services for clients globally. Bhavesh further enhanced their expertise in writing, formatting, and proofreading for scientific publications and theses.

Moving forward, Bhavesh pursued their research interests in molecular biology and the chemical origins of life at the Medical Research Council - Laboratory of Molecular Biology. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, they focused on investigating photoredox chemistry in aqueous solutions for prebiotic synthesis.

Bhavesh then joined QuintilesIMS as an Associate Consultant, where they managed and supported global life sciences strategy consulting projects for clients such as Pfizer, Bayer, and AZ. Bhavesh conducted primary and secondary research, performed quantitative and qualitative analyses, and worked closely with client teams to deliver strategic recommendations.

Currently, Bhavesh is working at Charles River Associates as a Principal - Life Science Strategy. Bhavesh is responsible for leading and managing strategic projects and client relations across various pharma, biotech, and medtech companies. Bhavesh is also leading the internal rare disease initiative to establish CRA as a thought partner in this space.

Throughout their career, Bhavesh has demonstrated a strong commitment to the life sciences field and has consistently delivered high-quality work in consulting, research, and editing roles.

Bhavesh Patel, PhD, is an individual with an impressive education history. Bhavesh obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry from Imperial College London, graduating in 2012. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, they completed their Master of Science (MSci) degree in Chemistry with a Year in Industry, also at Imperial College London, achieving First Class Honours.

In addition to their academic achievements, Bhavesh Patel has obtained a certification in "Using Questions to Foster Critical Thinking and Curiosity" from LinkedIn in September 2022.
