Kimberly Gleffe

Kim Gleffe helps manage Mott’s freshwater grantmaking portfolio, which emphasizes protecting the Great Lakes and ensuring that all residents of the region have access to safe, affordable water. The Milwaukee native has spent her entire career working for nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining Mott, she worked for 20 years as executive director of the River Revitalization Foundation in Milwaukee. Her work there focused on protecting land and water for the benefit of communities and ecosystems. Gleffe played a key role in efforts to develop legislation that established the Milwaukee River Greenway, which protected 800 acres of river valley leading to Lake Michigan, and she helped establish the Milwaukee River Greenway Coalition. Gleffe also served on Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s Green Team, which developed the city’s sustainability plan, as well as state and regional boards and committees that work to protect and conserve freshwater resources in the Lake Michigan basin.

Gleffe holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from Carroll University, a master’s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a certificate in nonprofit management from Carroll University.
