Matthew Barba

Matthew Barba has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Charlestowne Hotels since November 2011, Matthew's previous roles in the company include Vice President of Operations, General Manager, and Regional Director of Operations. Prior to this, Matthew held the position of Vice President at Tides Folly Beach/Avocet Properties from June 2006 to July 2011. Additional roles include Project Manager and General Manager at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Rooms Executive/Project Manager at The Hermitage Hotel, and various front office operations positions at The Waldorf Towers and Millennium Broadway Hotel. Matthew's career began in the hospitality field at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management & International Tourism from the New York Institute of Technology and an Associate degree in Hospitality from Nassau Community College, along with training from Disney University.
