Cathy Buchhofer

Cathy Buchhofer has a strong background in arena operations and facility management. Cathy currently serves as the Vice President of Arena Operations for the Charlotte Hornets, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this role, they held various positions at the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, including Director of Support Services at Spectrum Center and General Manager of Bojangles' Coliseum and Ovens Auditorium. Cathy also worked as the Director of Facility Operations at the same organization. Before joining the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, they served as a Senior Operations Manager for SMG at the Baltimore Arena and as an Assistant Operations Manager at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Cathy began their career in the industry as an Operations and Production Manager for live nation. Cathy Buchhofer earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Cathy also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree from Western Carolina University. Additionally, they obtained a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021.
