Karen McElmoyle

Karen McElmoyle is an experienced Principal and Creative Director at km design, inc. since April 2006, known for strategic and flexible creative partnerships across various industries. In addition to leading their firm, Karen works as a Freelance Senior Graphic Designer for Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, where brand marketing has been strengthened for over 12 years. As a Freelance Senior Brand Designer for candescence, inc. since January 2011, Karen has developed brands for notable clients, including Central Piedmont Community College and Charlotte Water. Previous roles include Graphic Designer at PureRED and Freelance Senior Graphic Designer for the Town of Harrisburg, where Karen created a branding system and designed promotional materials for events. Earlier career positions include Art Director roles at Tivoli Partners and Corporate Creative and design responsibilities at J.S. Goodson & Partners Advertising and Triple D Publishing. Karen holds an MFA in Graphic Design from The University of Georgia and is currently pursuing an MA in Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
