Emilie Wood has a diverse work experience. Emilie started as a Front Office Assistant at R&J Construction in 2004. In 2010, they became a Technical Assistant at Cuenin & Whisler Orthodontics. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Lead Intern at UCSB Research Experience and Education Facility (REEF). During this time, they also worked as a Mountain Sports Learning Center Ski Instructor at Sugar Bowl Resort and a UC Global Food Initiative Research Fellow at UC Santa Barbara. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Community Seafood as a Logistics Manager. In 2016, they joined Impossible Foods and held various roles, such as Business Operations Analyst, Senior Business Operations Analyst, Business Operations and Strategy Manager, and Business Operations and Strategy Manager II. Finally, in 2019, they became a General Staff at Stanford Sierra Conference Center, and in 2022, they began working as a Business Operations Lead at Charm Industrial.

Emilie Wood obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 2015. Emilie attended the UC Education Abroad Program at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen in 2014. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Lighthouse Food Safety & Quality from Lighthouse Food Safety & Quality. In 2013, they obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI, NAUI, SSI.
