Edwin Haghnazari

Edwin Haghnazari, PhD, MBA has extensive experience in business development and sales within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Edwin currently holds the role of Vice President of Business Development at Charnwood Discovery, where they are responsible for leading strategic initiatives and driving growth. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Cell Therapy Business Development at Slingshot Biosciences.

Edwin has also held several positions at The Jackson Laboratory, including Director of Commercial Business Development, Director of Opportunity and Business Development, and Senior Business Development Manager. In these roles, they were involved in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Before joining The Jackson Laboratory, Edwin worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Numira and as an Account Manager at CISBIO Bioassays. Edwin also gained experience in technical support and product development roles at Eurofins DiscoverX, where they served as the Global Technical Support Manager, Group Leader of Product Development, and Group Leader of Custom Assay Development.

Edwin began their career as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Scios, a Johnson & Johnson company. Edwin holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA, and their strong background in both technical and business areas makes him a valuable asset in their current role.

Edwin Haghnazari holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from San Jose State University, which they obtained in 1994. Edwin then pursued a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from San Jose State University from 1996 to 1998. Following this, Edwin obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology with Designated Emphasis in Biotechnology from the University of California, Davis from 1998 to 2004. In 2019, Edwin completed their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business. Edwin also has additional certifications in various areas, including corporate innovation, design thinking, selling, and negotiation.
