Mark Harrison has a diverse work experience in the real estate industry. Mark started their career as an Assistant Property Manager at JLL in 2003, where they contributed to various property management functions. In 2005, they joined LandMark White Valuations as an Assistant Valuer and was later promoted to Valuer, gaining experience in valuations across different property sectors. In 2008, they became a Divisional Director at Knight Frank Valuations, specializing in institutional industrial market valuations and managing the NSW Industrial Valuation business. From 2014, Mark worked at Charter Hall, initially as a Transaction Manager and then progressing to Senior Transaction Manager, Assistant Fund Manager, and finally, as the Head of Capital Transactions. In this role, they were responsible for origination, due diligence, negotiation, and execution of capital transactions nationwide, presenting transactions to Investment Committees and Boards for approval. Since 2019, Mark has been a Managing Director at The Blackstone Group, where they currently hold a leadership position.

Mark Harrison completed their Bachelor of Property Economics at the University of Technology Sydney from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended St Joseph's College Hunters Hill from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained their High School Certificate (HSC). Additionally, they took selected subjects in Masters of Applied Finance at FINSIA / Kaplan Professional Education, although the specific timeframe for this is not provided.
