Your Job:

The Senior Financial Project Manager will oversee finance initiatives and is responsible for planning,  managing, executing, and closing projects within established timelines and budgets. The Senior Financial Project Manager will collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure successful project delivery, meeting client expectations, establishing project methodology and standards, and maintaining high-quality standards. The Senior Financial Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of projects, contributing to the overall financial health of the CS Team.

The Senior Finance Project Manager will be responsible for Project Management & Planning, Accounting, and Client Management activities as well as other tasks and duties outlined below. 

Your duties:

  1. Project Management & Planning
    1. Project Management
      1. Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.
      2. Establish project management standards, processes, and templates.
      3. Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular status updates to relevant stakeholders.
      4. Manage and execute closure of projects.
      5. Lead, present, and train the team on the projects.
      6. Serve as an internal resource on project management methodology.
    2. Analysis
      1. Analyze project data and provide insights into project performance.
      2. Assess, allocate, and monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed.
    3. Risk Management
      1. Identify potential risks and assess their impact on project timelines, budget, and overall success.
      2. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  2. Accounting
    1. Projects
      1. Act as a liaison between the project team and the client team.
      2. Assign, organize, and manage the team’s deliverables.
      3. Perform quality review and finalize project deliverables before release.
  3. Finance
    1. Analysis and Reporting
      1. Develop, review, and analyze financial projects.
      2. Report on the current financial status to client leadership
  4. Client Consulting
    1. Manage projects for multiple clients.

    2. Engage and consult with client leadership on projects.

    3. Provide training to client staff.

    4. Serve as the internal and external point of escalation and resolution for projects.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business, Accounting, or a similar field.

  • At least 5+ years of project management experience.

  • At least 5+ years of accounting/audit experience.

  • Proven experience managing multiple clients or projects in professional services or client success groups.

  • Experience with project management software and tools is required.

  • Experience tracking metrics, data analysis and reporting

  • Prior experience working with non-profits, charter schools, or socially responsible organizations is preferred.

You Should Know

  • Microsoft Office 365, proficiency in Excel

  • Project Management software (Monday, MS Project, Trello, Zoho Project Management)

  • com, Anybill

  • QuickBooks, Intacct, FundEZ, or similar accounting software

  • Payroll Management Software (ADP, Paychex, or similar)

  • Team Management - Manage the team's day-to-day deliverables and projects. Implement work processes, procedures, and systems. Prioritize competing deadlines, use judgment, and make decisions. Serve as an important communication conduit between internal and external stakeholders like the team, client, Client Lead, and Client Success.
