Emily Goligoski

Head of Research, SVP at Charter

Emily Goligoski has had diverse work experience in various roles and organizations over the years. Emily is currently the Head of Research, SVP at Charter, where they lead new social science research initiatives and oversees product and market research. Emily is also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University. Prior to their current roles, Emily worked at The Atlantic as the Executive Director of Audience Research and later as the Senior Director of Audience Research, where they conducted survey and interview-based research to understand the audience's interactions with journalism. Emily was also a Board Member at Youth Radio and the Research Director for the Membership Puzzle Project at New York University, where they managed the project aimed at creating sustainable paths for news organizations. Before that, they worked at The New York Times as the User Experience Research Lead, driving human-centric design research. Emily also held roles at Mozilla as a Product & Design Researcher and Design & Community Lead, and at General Assembly as a User Experience Design Immersive Instructor. Emily's earlier experiences include contributing to TechCrunch as an Education & Health Tech Contributor and working at Intel Corporation as an Interaction & Experience Lab Summer Graduate Designer.

Emily Goligoski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Emily later pursued a Master's degree in Learning, Design & Technology at Stanford University from 2011 to 2012. Prior to these higher education experiences, Emily attended St. Ursula Academy from 1998 to 2002, although it is not specified if they earned a degree or pursued a specific field of study during this period.
