Damian Alexander has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and organizations. Damian started their career in the Royal Air Force, where they held multiple roles as a Commissioned Officer, Station Commander, and Support & Sports Sponsorship Strategist. Damian also served as the Deputy Commander Support at Kandahar Airfield for NATO. Damian then transitioned to the UK Ministry of Defence, where they held positions such as Chief of Staff Joint Support Chain and Head of Defence Logistics Policy. Damian also attended the Royal College of Defence Studies and completed the Higher Command and Staff Course. Later, Damian worked as the Head of Defence Support Chain Operations and Movements at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S). Damian then served as the Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK). Currently, Damian is a Logistics Advisor at Leidos and was previously the Vice President and Managing Director Logistics at the same company, overseeing the delivery of a major outsourcing and digital transformation program. Damian's experience is vast and diverse, covering logistics, defense, and charitable sectors.

Damian Alexander CBE BSc MA FCILT has a strong educational background. Damian completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Maths and Statistics at the University of Reading from 1988 to 1991. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Defence Studies at King's College London from 2005 to 2006, followed by a further Master's degree in Defence Studies through the Joint Services Command and Staff Course from 2005 to 2006. In 2010, they attended the Royal Air Force for Military and Strategic Leadership studies and then proceeded to the Royal College of Defence Studies in 2011-2012 for International Relations and Strategic Security Studies. Damian also attended the Higher Command and Staff Course in 2013 for Command at the Military-strategic and Operational Levels of Conflict. Most recently, in 2019, they briefly studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
