Maciej Rząsa

Maciej Rząsa has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2009, they started as an intern at Asseco Poland, gaining initial exposure to the corporate world. From there, they moved on to Zakład Usług Technicznych, where they served as a System/Network Administrator, being responsible for managing the ISP network infrastructure and gateway servers.

In 2011, Maciej joined PGS Software S.A. as a Software Developer, later transitioning into the role of Team Leader/Software Developer. During their time there, they led and developed projects in various domains, mentored and grew a team of Ruby developers, and facilitated cross-functional collaboration. Maciej also played a pivotal role in the development of a Ruby ERP application with an Android client.

Maciej's next career move took him to TextMaster, where they worked as a Senior Ruby Developer. In this role, they contributed to the development of multiple services on a translation platform, handling a high volume of daily requests. Maciej'sresponsibilities included expanding statistics, implementing format transformations, and improving file segmentation on a text processing service.

In 2019, Maciej joined Toptal, initially as a Senior Backend Developer & Scrum Master. In this role, they worked on a Ruby application, extracting a service from a monolith and improving the development experience for a large engineering organization. Maciej then transitioned to the role of Principal Engineer, where they led technical projects aimed at enhancing the development experience for hundreds of developers. Notably, they successfully reduced the time for setting up a local integration testing environment, leading to significant time savings for developers.

Lastly, Maciej's most recent work experience has been at Chattermill, where they hold the position of Senior Backend Engineer, starting from April 2023. Overall, Maciej Rząsa has demonstrated expertise in backend engineering, team leadership, project management, and improving development processes and experiences.

Maciej Rząsa began their education at AGH University of Krakow in 2006, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Maciej completed this program in 2011, earning a Master's degree. In the same year, they attended Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, focusing on Computer Science. However, it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from this institution. Prior to their university education, Maciej attended IV Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Rzeszowie, although the specific field of study and any degrees obtained there are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Maciej has obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Maciej acquired the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org in July 2016. Maciej also earned a Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) B2 from Instituto Cervantes in May 2012. More recently, in October 2022, they obtained the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
