Steven Smith

Steven Smith is a Program Manager at Check Defense, LLC, where responsibilities include overseeing the Master IDIQ TSS-E contract and managing its strategic development and expansion since July 2023. Prior to this role, Steven served as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Special Forces Communications Sergeants Course at the US Army Special Warfare Center from August 2019 to December 2021, handling administrative actions and training logistics for over 250 candidates annually. Steven also worked as a curriculum developer and instructor for the Special Forces Communications Course, managing class operations to produce qualified personnel. Their earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Communications Sergeant and instructor with Army Special Forces, as well as various positions within the US Army, including TRADOC Instructor and Infantry Rifleman. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston and an Associate of Arts from Fayetteville Technical Community College, along with completing the United States Army Ranger School.
