Colin Campbell CMIOSH has a diverse work experience in health and safety roles. Colin currently serves as the Head of Health & Safety at Checkmate Fire Solutions Ltd since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Health & Safety Manager at Rilmac Group from February 2019 to April 2021, and as a Group SHEQ Advisor from July 2019 to February 2021. In these roles, Colin collaborated with various construction companies to ensure the safety and welfare of personnel, developed and maintained safety plans, advised management on health and safety issues, and made recommendations for corrective actions.

Before joining Rilmac Group, Colin worked as a Group Health & Safety Advisor at JELSON LIMITED from June 2018 to July 2019. Here, they advised operational management on initiatives to improve health, safety, quality, and sustainability performance, delivered and communicated HSE directives and programs, and developed the skills of personnel for continuous safety improvement.

Colin also has entrepreneurial experience as the Director of ALL OCCASIONS CASINO LIMITED from June 2011 to February 2019, where they built the company and sold it in 2019 to focus on their primary health & safety career. Additionally, they worked as an HSQE Advisor at TSL Ltd in 2018 and as a Group Health and Safety Officer at Rilmac Group from November 2014 to March 2018. At TSL Ltd, Colin ensured high standards of health and safety on nationwide projects and implemented the company's H&S policy. In their role at Rilmac Group, they conducted audits and inspections, implemented risk assessments and method statements, monitored employee competence, carried out safety inductions, investigated accidents and incidents, and implemented ISO standards.

Colin's career started in the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 2004, where they served as an RAF Regiment Gunner - Corporal until 2015. In this role, they specialized in ground combat operations and contributed to the defence of RAF airfields.

Lastly, Colin has experience as a Scaffolder at RAINHAM INDUSTRIAL SERVICES LIMITED from February 2010 to October 2010 and at Rilmac Group from February 2003 to February 2010.
