Barak Yair Reif

Barak Yair Reif has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

In 2013, they worked as an SDET intern at Microsoft, where they contributed to projects involving code browsing and memory profiling.

From 2012 to 2016, they pursued their PhD in Tel Aviv University while also taking on the role of Treasurer for a year.

In 2016, they joined AppCard, Inc. as a Lead Data Scientist and later became the Director of R&D. Barak Yair held these positions until 2019.

In 2019, they transitioned to New Relic, Inc. as a Lead Data Scientist and eventually progressed to the roles of Manager and Senior Manager, Data Science. Barak Yair worked with the company until 2021.

In 2021, Reif joined Meta (formerly Facebook) as a Software Engineer, specializing in machine learning. Barak Yair later became a Research Data Science Manager before leaving in 2022.

In 2023, Reif joined Zeekit, a Walmart company, as a Manager in AI Infra & Data Engineering. After a few months, they moved to Checkout.com as a Senior Software Engineering Manager.

Throughout their career, Reif has also demonstrated a passion for football, working as a Football Official for the Israel Football League from 2009 to 2020.

Barak Yair Reif pursued their education in a progressive manner. Starting in 2004, they attended Bar-Ilan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. After completing their undergraduate studies, they moved on to Tel Aviv University from 2009 to 2011, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Operations Research, with a focus on Statistics and Operations Research. Following this, they continued their education at Tel Aviv University, this time as a Doctoral Candidate from 2012 to 2015. During this period, they were studying for their Ph.D. in Operations Research.
