Akash Bhimani

Akash Bhimani has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Akash is currently working as the Sr. Director of Engineering at CheckRed, a position they started in April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Technology at Easy Pay from July 2022 to April 2023. Akash also worked at Microsoft from November 2020 to July 2022, where they held the role of Principle Software Engineering Manager / Principle Software Engineer.

Before joining Microsoft, Akash worked at FireEye, Inc. from September 2020 to November 2020 as a Principal Software Engineer, and from December 2013 to September 2020 as an Engineering Manager. In the latter role, their responsibilities included hiring and building development teams, leading teams to deliver high-quality solutions, and reviewing requirements from Product Management and Product Architects. Akash also held the position of Sr. Staff Software Engineer at FireEye from November 2017 to December 2018.

Prior to their time at FireEye, Akash worked at iSIGHT Partners as the Manager of Development from December 2013 to December 2017. Akash also worked at Symantec Corporation as a Sr. Software Engineer in Java Development from September 2008 to December 2013.

Akash's earlier experience includes positions at Veraz Networks Ltd as a Member of Technical Staff in Java Development from April 2007 to August 2008, at Patni Computer Systems as a Senior Software Engineer in Java from March 2006 to March 2007, at 3di Systems as a Software Engineer from February 2005 to March 2006, and at Net Services India as a Web Developer from August 2003 to February 2005, where they worked on projects related to logistics and e-commerce.

Akash Bhimani completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Polymer Chemistry from Sardar Patel University between 1996 and 1999. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Bangalore University, completing it between 2000 and 2003.
