Eugene Fung

Eugene Fung has a comprehensive work history in the field of taxation. Eugene began their career as a Tax Associate with Arthur Andersen LLP in 1999. Eugene then moved on to work as a Senior Tax Associate with Deloitte & Touche, specializing in Real Estate & Technology, Media & Telecommunication.

In 2004, Eugene joined KPMG as a Tax Specialist, eventually advancing to the role of Tax Manager, specializing in Financial Services. Eugene held this position until 2010.

In 2010, Eugene joined Celestica where they steadily progressed within the tax department. Eugene started as a Senior Manager, Global Taxation and later assumed the roles of Director, Corporate Taxation and Senior Director, Global Taxation. In these positions, they were responsible for overseeing global tax strategies, tax accounting, compliance, and advisory services for M&A deals and new business transactions. Eugene also played a key role in tax process improvement, risk management strategies, and global transfer pricing policy compliance.

Eugene is currently Vice President of Tax at Chemtrade, where they began in 2023.

Eugene Fung completed their In-Depth - Part I to III & Foundations in International Tax program at CICA. Eugene then obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting from the University of Waterloo. Following that, they pursued a Master of Accounting degree with a specialization in Taxation, also from the University of Waterloo. Prior to their university education, Eugene attended Earl Haig Secondary School and North Toronto Collegiate Institute.
