Serkan Dogan

Serkan Dogan is a research technician at CHEO Research Institute since April 2024, previously serving as a research assistant at McMaster University from September 2022 to April 2024, focusing on the role of nuclear receptors in animal plasticity in response to environmental stressors and endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Additional roles at McMaster included teaching assistant and BioBuds coordinator, where responsibilities encompassed supporting lab sessions and mentoring graduate students. Prior to this, Serkan held teaching assistant positions at Queen's University and conducted master’s thesis research at the University of Geneva on hematopoietic stem cell development in zebrafish. Serkan's academic foundation includes a Master of Science in Genetics, Development, and Evolution from the University of Geneva and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Izmir Institute of Technology.
