Brett Shouse started their work experience in 2017 as an Operations intern at Ardent Mills. In 2005, they joined the United States Air Force and held various roles such as Pavements & Construction Equipment Craftsman, Project Manager/ Logistics Specialist, and Site Superintendent. Their responsibilities included providing technical expertise, supervision, and training in their specialty, managing construction projects, overseeing logistics and training operations, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. In 2021, Brett joined Cherokee Federal as a Contract Program Manager.

Brett Shouse has a diverse education history. Brett started their academic journey in 2005 at the Community College of the Air Force, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Construction Technology between 2005 and 2012. Following this, they pursued a General Education program at Butler Community College from 2009 to 2016.

In 2013, Brett enrolled at Kansas State University and completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Brett has acquired various certifications. Brett completed a Tractor Trailer Training Course at the Professional Truck Driver Institute in July 2016, obtained a Secret Security Clearance from the DoD Inspector General in October 2015, and received a Private Pilot Rotorcraft-Helicopter certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in July 2015. Furthermore, they hold Crane Certification for 20 and 35 tons, which they obtained during their time in the United States Air Force.
