Melissa Rountree

Melissa Rountree has over 10 years of work experience in various roles. Melissa started their career in 2007 as the Director of Managed Care at an Ambulatory Health Clinic in the United States Air Force. In this role, they managed operations for a department of 86 members and oversaw outpatient/inpatient records, coding, patient administration, TRICARE operations, and other functions. Melissa also served as the Director of Medical Emergency Management and Readiness, leading emergency management functions for a 50-bed Federal Medical Center. Additionally, they served as the Group Practice Manager, overseeing access to care for over 35 product lines and supporting various leadership-driven projects.

In 2017, Melissa joined Knowesis Inc. as an Associate Business Analyst, where they provided data analysis, strategic planning, and project management support. Melissa analyzed data, developed visual aids and reports, and advised executive and senior leadership on recommendations and outcomes for strategic decision making.

From 2018 to 2020, Melissa worked at Anthem, Inc. as a Provider Contract/Cost of Care Consultant. Melissa created statistical models and designed modeling studies to address specific business issues. Melissa also prepared analytical data sets in support of modeling studies.

Currently, Melissa is working at Cherokee Federal as a Senior Analyst Research Specialist. Their responsibilities include synthesizing disparate facts from multiple sources, providing accurate and timely analytical products, and demonstrating knowledge of HCO/MHS operational infrastructure.

Melissa Rountree earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business from Saint Leo University in the academic years of 2002 to 2006. Afterward, they pursued a Master's Degree in Health Administration at Baylor University from 2011 to 2013. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Tableau Desktop Specialist certification from Tableau Software in March 2019. Melissa later obtained the Tableau Analyst and Tableau Author certifications from the same institution in September 2020.
