Samantha H. has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Samantha started their career as an Intern at the Canada Desk of the U.S. Department of State, where they gained experience in policy memos and event coordination. Samantha then served as the Secretary-General for the Dayton Model United Nations Conference, organizing a large-scale event for over 130 students.
Samantha later joined the American University Washington College of Law as a Program Assistant for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, where they assisted with networking efforts and drafted reports and correspondences. Samantha also worked at ARMADA, Ltd. as a Junior Program Analyst, providing project coordination support to different departments.
In 2016, Samantha began their tenure at the National Model United Nations, holding various Director positions for committees such as UN Population Fund, World Food Programme, Human Rights Council, General Assembly First Committee, Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, and Food and Agriculture Organization. In these roles, they authored background guides, mentored assistant directors, and facilitated simulated committees for university students.
At Highlight Technologies, Samantha served as a Program Analyst for the J2SR Metrics Team and later as a Program Assistant for the USAID/PPL/AA office. Samantha'sresponsibilities included supporting senior leadership, creating briefing materials, and managing communications.
Samantha also worked at Dexis Consulting Group, where they held multiple roles including Desk Officer for the Afghanistan Desk, Management Analyst for the USAID COVID-19 Task Force, and Special Assistant to the Assistant Administrator for USAID/LPA. In these positions, they coordinated with stakeholders, developed internal processes, and assisted in information management and structural issues.
Most recently, Samantha joined PM Consulting Group as an Executive Assistant to the USAID Deputy Administrator for Management and Resources, where they provided administrative support and coordination.
Currently, Samantha is working at Cherokee Federal as a Congressional Coordinator in the Office of Foreign Assistance at the U.S. Department of State.
Samantha H. obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in International/Global Studies from Wright State University, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in U.S. Foreign Policy and National Security at American University, which they completed between 2016 and 2018.
