Kimberly Dempsey Schaufenbuel

Kimberly Dempsey Schaufenbuel has extensive experience in strategic talent development and global talent management. Kimberly Dempsey is currently the Head of Strategic Talent Development at Cherry Bekaert since 2023. Prior to this, they held leadership roles at various companies, including Lightspeed Commerce as the Head of Global Talent & Capability, where they established and led the global Talent & Capability function to support business priorities and scalability. Kimberly Dempsey also served as the Head of Global Talent & Capability at GenesisCare, supporting the organization's mission-driven employees across multiple locations.

Before that, Kimberly worked at 2U as the SVP Global Talent Management, supporting the company's goal of expanding access to online education. Kimberly Dempsey also served as the Global Director of Executive Development at UNC Executive Development, where they collaborated with leading organizations to create custom programs focused on developing people and executing strategic objectives. Prior to UNC, they worked at Grifols as the Director of Talent & Organizational Development, where they supported a large global workforce and oversaw important HR processes.

Throughout their career, Kimberly has demonstrated their expertise in talent development, organizational development, leadership development, performance management, and workforce planning.

Kimberly Dempsey Schaufenbuel, SPHR, holds a Masters degree in I/O Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. Kimberly Dempsey also has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, earned from 1996 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications related to leadership, coaching, assessments, and diversity from institutions such as the Center for Creative Leadership, NeuroLeadership Institute, and HRCI.
