Bruce Barnes

Bruce Barnes joined Cherry Creek in October of 2021 as Managing Director of the reverse mortgage division. Mr. Barnes is an experienced entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of building successful, high growth companies in the mortgage banking industry. Barnes has more than 30 years’ experience managing mortgage banking platforms with specialized expertise within the reverse mortgage industry for the last 15 years.

Prior to starting with Cherry Creek, Barnes served as a President, Director, Officer and Senior Managing Partner for multiple Company’s. In each of his positions, Barnes oversaw all facets of loan production and operations and was responsible for managing teams of 300 or more. Barnes is responsible for funding and securitizing more than 2 billion in reverse mortgage loans. Barnes also owns and operates a mortgage software company that helps make the reverse sales process simpler.

Barnes is focused on making Cherry Creek a leader in the reverse mortgage space. Using his expertise in mortgage and software he intends on making Cherry Creek the company where more reverse loans get done faster.
