Staff Security Officer at Chertoff Group

Thomas Williams has held various security-related roles over the past 19 years. Thomas began their career in 2001 as a Counterintelligence Agent for the US Army, where they were a Team Leader responsible for supervising up to 25 soldiers and maintaining classified and unclassified computer systems. After three years in this role, they joined the Army National Guard as a Specialist in 2004, where they maintained databases and ensured security of the unit in all scenarios. In 2009, they began working for Aker Security Solutions as a Security Consultant, where they wrote security plans for Protection Level (PL1) systems and configured Windows based computers for security requirements. Thomas then moved to FOWGroup, where they served as a Facility Security Officer and oversaw all aspects of personnel security for DoD clearances. In 2012, they joined SAVVEE Consulting, Inc. and Counsel for Logistics Research, where they worked as a Facility Security Officer and Assistant Facility Security Officer respectively. Thomas also had a brief stint at Anakam as a Facility Security Officer. In 2014, they joined The Chertoff Group and Shield Analysis as a Staff Security Officer and Facility Security Officer respectively.

Thomas Williams attended American Military University from 2011 to 2013, where they earned both a Bachelor's degree in Security Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Security Management. In 2013, they also obtained a certification as an Industrial Security Professional from NCMS, Inc. - The Society of Industrial Security Professionals.
